Spend a day in the heights of Rossinière by following the paths of the goat herders complete with magnificent panoramic views in a quiet and natural setting. Legend has it, that their ‘pétoles’ rolled down the pastures and into the village…the reason why the residents of Rossinière have the nickname…Les Pétolets!

The Pétolet Path is a fantastic hike in the foothills of the Alps. It can be done in both directions with several possibilities of shortcuts if your legs get tired! It is a hike geared towards experienced hikers in good physical condition with proper mountain wear. The utmost respect of the fawn and flora and the mountain pastures and their families is asked of those who participate in this hike.
