The small village of Rossinière welcomes its visitors in an idyllic setting, in the midst of charm, nature and secular history.
Its numerous wooden chalets with their painted and ornate facades are just as much an invitation for you to do a walk in the village centre and its surrounding area. Among the most remarkable ones we note the Grand Chalet, where the famous painter Balthus spent his final years, as well as the Chalet de la Place. The art lovers will not miss paying a call at the Balthus Chapel which revisits the work and life of this artist through documents, films and photographs.
As for leasure, the Commune maintains a large network of recreational walking trails that make amateur or full-fledged hikers smile. The Vernex Lake and the Tine parade which marks the border with the canton of Fribourg are also main attractions.
Its proximity to the Château-d’Œx and Rougemont resorts makes Rossinière the ideal destination for all snow sports’ lovers.
