Inauguration of the "Le Grand des Marques - Terre & Nature" exhibition

Saturday 11 July, at 2pm, Château-d'Oex, the capital of the art of paper cut-outs inaugurates the 3rd edition of the exhibition of large-format cut-outs "Le Grand des Marques".

The highlights of this inauguration day are:

- The guided tour of the works at 2pm. 27 cut-outs by Swiss and French artists have been enlarged and are exhibited in the streets of the village of Château-d'Oex. Through the discovery of these works, everyone will be able to discover the art of cutting "en grand" on the theme "Earth & Nature". The exhibition also presents the new generations who cut out contemporary scenes or objects. The names of all the artists present can be found at

- The draw for the winner of the exhibition "Le Grand des Marques - 28 Contemporary Cutters", which ended at 3.45 pm at the end of April 2020. The tour was accompanied by a flyer with a quiz to which it is possible to answer by leaving to discover the works. The entries are kept at the Château-d'Oex Tourist Office and this Saturday 11 July will be the occasion to award a cutting worth CHF 750 to the person drawn.

- The opening of a large cut-out by Pierre Mottier and projection on a large screen at 4 pm. This artist from Damascus has created a large cut-out especially for the occasion. The opening and explanation of the techniques will take place in the conference room of the Roc et Neige Hotel. The event will be projected live on a big screen so that the whole audience can enjoy Pierre Mottier's explanations.
The exhibition "Le Grand des Marques - Terre & Nature", the only one of its kind in Switzerland, will be open to the public from July 11th and will remain in place until April 25th 2021.

Other guided tours are planned for Tuesday 21 July, 4 and 18 August.

The 5th Journées du Papier Découpé are postponed to July 2021.
