Anne Rosat - Cutting art

Born in 1935 in the Belgian Ardennes. A teacher, she married and moved to Les Moulins (Switzerland) in 1958.

She has been cutting since 1969 and immediately uses the color and the superposition of the papers, thus deepening the very particular technique of the cut paper.

From 1970, she exhibited regularly in Lausanne, Geneva, Zürich, Cortaillod, etc… Took part in exhibitions in New York (1974 and 1985) Paris (1974), Lugano, Venthône, Chur, etc… as well as at the Gianadda Foundation in Martigny (1985 and 1996-97).

It really contributed to the revival of paper cutting in Switzerland, reviving interest in this traditional art by making it known beyond borders. His carvings are featured in numerous collections and museums, in Switzerland and abroad.

In demand from all sides, in 1997 she created, among other things, a scarf for Hermès in Paris.
