Four villages, four remarkable churches.
The churches of the Pays-d'Enhaut symbolise the history of the region, particulary the effect of the Reformation, introduced in 1555 when the region fell under the leadership of Bern.
Le Temple — Château-d’Oex Church
Rising majestically from its steep hill, Le Temple, Château-d’Oex’s historic church, stands as a defining symbol of the Pays-d’Enhaut. The terrace affords magnificent views over the village and surrounding landscape, while the interior is illuminated by lovely stained-glass windows.
